Pick One, Anyone!

by Lily
(Hesperia, California, US)

This technique can help you if you really don't know what to write. It can get you started and later on you'll have better ideas in your head to write.

Write twenty things (love, murder, sadness, betrayal, criminal, etc) on little pieces of paper and put them in a hat or bag. Then randomly choose three pieces. So if you get love, murder, betrayal, then you have to write a story including those elements.

Trust me, it works. It doesn't always end up being the final story idea, but it does get your creative juices flowing on how to include those elements in your story. And it helps you get other ideas later on.

I hope this helps you!!!
