Using Parts of Dreams You've Had

by Chyna
(United States)

Sometimes I use parts of dreams I've had. For example, one time I dreamed about being chased by a guy with a knife. When he was about to kill me I woke up. I could use the feelings I had during that dream to write a scene like that for a story. Even if it seems like a silly dream, jot down the main idea of it. Or if you really like the dream (like I do sometimes) just write everything that happened in the dream as if you were writing about your day! And just like that, I have an idea. So good luck writers! And happy writing!
