Fantasy in a mirror

"When I looked in the mirror, I didn't expect..."

As I arose from my slumber, I felt a little melancholy. After watching one of my favorite fantasy movies last night, it left me wanting. Oh to live in the times of chivalry, horses and romance. The character I fantasized about was just that, a fantasy. But he seemed so real with his extremely handsome face, silver blond hair, and muscular build. Those twinkling silver eyes and the way he smiled just melted me. And those ears! They were pointy. Yes he was an elf and a fantasy. If only. That is how I ended up this way today, feeling empty.

So I took a long hot bath and washed my hair of all the sadness inside of me. After I toweled off and donned a robe, I started to comb my long black hair out. When I finished I proceeded to put my comb away in the drawer. When I looked in the mirror, I didn't expect.. to see the very fantasy that I dreamt about nightly. There he was standing over my right shoulder, smiling back at me with those twinkling silver eyes that made my knees wobble. Then I thought 'Wait this is just my fantasy in overdrive here!' So to prove to myself that it was, I turned around quickly, only to find him standing there in front of me. I could not believe my eyes, nor I could speak words as my lips froze. I squeezed my eyes shut then opened them and yep it was still there.

He just softly chuckled at the state I was in, raised my finger to his lips and kissed them. "My Lady." he said to me. I promptly fainted!
