Hi Greg,

I went to your blog after reading about it here. I was unable to find how to leave a comment. You wrote of your wife's. difficulty in communicating. I' m wondering if you are familiar with AAC devices( augmentative and alternative communication), which is a durable medical equipment class. There are many AAC devices on the market. I personally use an iPad with a free app with my students. By the way, I'm a special education teacher. I've worked with students who , previously unable to communicate their needs, are soaring with AAC. For one boy, he uses only YES / NO button and the I'M WET bathroom button. Another child writes in complete sentences. If a device isn't an option for you perhaps PEC ( picture exchange communication) is. PEC can be as simple as showing 2 pictures of a breakfast food and allowing her to point to the food she wants or a picture of the bathroom she can show when she has to go.
Here's a site explaining different types of AAC devices. I hope some of this helps and I hope I didn't overstep.
Prayers and peace,
Carie

Thank you NEW

Greg, thank you for sharing your beautiful haiku. I' m glad you've found a tiny bit of taking care of yourself through haiku. My prayers are with you and your wife.

I hope this is appropriate. I'm using a haiku app in which I import photos from Tumblr, Flickr , Google , or my photo library and write haikus directly on a copy of the photos. It's called Visual Poet from iTunes Store.

Peace,
Carie

Miracle Needed NEW
by: Greg Johnson

Thanks for wishing returned health to my wife. As of now there are no treatments, cures, or medical hope.

My good wife receives my constant attention, prayer, and love. I will continue to provide this till the end.

I do believe in miracles so if God is willing I'd be more than pleased.

Greg
