Topic: Showing versus Telling

Hello, my favorite student. Today's class is about showing versus telling, how to write scenes.

10-minute writing - Do this after reading the lesson:

Take the character whose profile you wrote during the last class. How does this character act when she or he is afraid? Imagine that this character is alone at home with someone he or she's afraid of. Why is this person in your character's home? Why is your character afraid of this person? You decide. Write part of the scene. Show your character's fear without telling it.
